How Much Would The Average Person Pay For A Standalone HBO Go Subscription? About $12 A Month

hbogoTwo years ago, HBO introduced HBO Go, giving fans a way to access all of their favorite programming online, on tablets and mobile devices, and increasingly on connected TV platforms. For those of us who have had a chance to use it, HBO Go is nothing short of a revelation, as viewers can watch pretty much every episode of every HBO original series ever made, as well as a pretty good selection of new release movies. The problem is that access to the services is limited to those who have HBO as part of their pay TV subscription: There's currently no way to purchase the HBO Go component without spending upwards of $100 on cable or satellite. That's led many to argue that HBO is leaving money on the table, by not trying to appeal to some of the cord cutter set. Worse, lack of access is driving some of its biggest fans to piracy, with Game of Thrones far and away the most pirated TV show this season. But how much would people actually pay for HBO Go, if it were an option?
